Love Island winner Amber Davies confirmed that is dating her co-star in the West End play Back to the Future on Monday. Davies, 26, addressed her new romance as she appeared on Lorraine. The stage actress said she “accidentally fell in love” with her co-star Ben Joyce, as she spilled the news on the morning show.
Before lifting the lid on her new partner, Davies, who won Love Island with ex Kem Cetinay in 2017, shared the advice given to her by music icon Dolly Parton when she was single. Davies got to meet Parton, 76, several times when she starred in the 9 to 5 musical, and it was then, the country singer offered some wise words to her. Davies told host Ranvir Singh: “So, 9 to 5 was her baby.
She was the executive producer. She cared so much about that show. When I met her, I kind of had no expectations, because it’s Dolly Parton, even just being in the same room as her was incredible.
“The second time I met her, she remembered all of our conversations from the first time, she knew my name, she gave me advice and her advice was, ‘You don’t need a man. ’”Davies recalled Parton warning her to put her “career first”, and that “men can wait for you. ”The West End star went on to admit she didn’t listen, as she spoke about her new boyfriend Joyce.
“The plan was to be single for a while and then I accidentally fell in love with my co-star,’ Davies beamed, as she described beau Joyce as a “ray of sunshine” in her life. She continued: “Do you know what it is? He’s just an absolute ray of sunshine and he’s so loved by everyone on the cast. “He’s an absolute powerhouse of a talent and he’s one of the kindest, most caring people I’ve ever met.
