Love Island star Tasha Ghouri's dad Tarek has revealed that she breaks down into tears a lot because of an "extra tiring" element to her disability. The blonde beauty, 23, who recently vowed to move in with Andrew Le Page after their time in the Majorcan villa, is the first deaf contestant to ever take part in the hit ITV dating programme. She wears a cochlear, which helps with sound perception. Since making her debut, Tasha has had her fair share of ups and downs on the show and has been left crying on more than one occasion.
Most recently, she was left in tears after the Snog Marry Pie episode as she struggled to come to terms with Dami Hope, 26, and 23 year old Luca Bish's reasons for shoving pies in her face. "I could give you a list as long as Adam but we let it go for today and it is just a game," Luca had told the dancer, while Dami said: "The reason I pied you, I feel like you usually get away with a lot of stuff but this pie, you weren't going to get away with..." Now, Tasha's dad Tarek, 55, has shed some light on why his daughter might be crying more than usual. He explained that the cochlear implant "isn't perfect" and "doesn't allow us to hear like we hear each other".
Tarek said that his daughter constantly hears "a little buzz" in one ear, while the other can't hear anything. Because the microphone is at the front, his daughter can only hear distorted sounds when someone is talking behind her. "She has to try and use all her senses and be alert all the time, which is really grating," he shared.Tarek went on to explain that Tasha would usually take it off at home to rest her brain.

Love Island winners Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti enjoyed some special treatment on their flight back to the UK. The couple were given a tour inside the cockpit of their Jet2 plane as they returned home from their eight-week stint in the Majorcan villa. They were both allowed to sot in the pilot's seat.
Love Island has sparked hundreds more complaints in its final week, it has been revealed. The ITV2 dating show came to an end on Monday night (August 1) with host Laura Whitmore heading into the Mallorcan villa to reveal the winners of the 2022 series.
The Love Island 2022 finalists have finally jetted back to the UK following the series finale on Monday 1 August. Winning couple Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti made their way back home alongside runners-up Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, and fellow finalists Indiyah Polack, Dami Hope, Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page on Wednesday 3 August after being presented with the £50,000 prize fund.
It has been revealed that Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti generated more half of the votes to take home the title of Love Island 2022 winners. According to ITV, the pair received 63.69% of the public vote, while Gemma Owen and Luca Bish - who came in second - had only 14.47%. Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope came in third place, and had 11.77% of the vote, as Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page were fourth with 10.07%.The news of the voting figures comes after ITV announced that a whopping 3.4 million people tuned in to watch the finale last night, Monday 1 August.
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti crowned winners (and worthy winners they were) in the Love Island 2022 final, with many of this year’s Islanders reuniting to watch the show at a glitzy viewing party.Among those in attendance were two bombshells who we did NOT expect to see together any time soon. The Casa Amor girls posed for a picture, which was posted to Instagram by Chyna Mills, and standing next to each other were Coco Lodge and Jazmine Nichol, which we found strange considering they exposed their secret feud after leaving the villa.Jazmine spilled the beans on a secret unaired argument with Coco following her kiss with Andrew Le Page, while Coco made a number of shady comments seemingly aimed at Jazmine which suggested the whole thing was blown out proportion.Nevertheless, the pair seemed to have put their differences aside – at least for the night – as they celebrated the end of the series.Jazmine and Coco’s feud first came to light when the Geordie beauty queen had revealed she’d also been getting to know Andrew in the villa and was left blindsided when he and Coco kissed.“Coco, the girl I was closest to and had talked to about Andrew, went up to the terrace and kissed him.
With things heating up in the Love Island villa between the couples, it's no surprise producers have measures in place to provide sexual safety for the Islanders. Former bombshell Charlie Radnedge, who departed the series earlier this month, took to TikTok to reveal Islanders get given personalised condoms.
