Love Island sparks ageism row as viewers react to confirmed 2024 line up

Fans are up in arms over an ageism row that has exploded, surrounding the latest season of Love Island - with some claiming the contestants appear older than their given age. This summer, we can watch the drama unfold as the reality show makes a comeback on ITV for its eleventh sizzling season.
The first 12 islanders have already been revealed, with recruitment boss Munveer Jabbal standing out as the oldest contestant at 30 while Ciaran Davies, a land surveyor, is just entering adulthood at the age of 21.
As the initial group were unveiled, it was hard not to swoon over the glossy official images released by ITV after the cast reveal. But many fans have been taken aback and perplexed upon seeing the ages listed alongside pictures of the new islanders.
On social media, droves of fans criticised the "bad photography", claiming that contestants look intensely more mature than they are.
