Love Island's new series is hotting up on ITV1, with this year's singles digging into the drama as love triangles emerge. However, axed star Sam Taylor - who was the first contestant to be dumped from the villa this series - has revealed that there was one bust-up that didn't make it to air. The hair stylist sits down with OK! for our latest Love Island video series, The Dumping Debrief.
Each week, OK! will be chatting to the evicted islanders from the 2024 summer series as they unpack the drama and spill the gossip once out of the villa. In this week's first episode, Sam Taylor speaks to Deputy TV Editor Lauren Morris about being the first contestant to be dumped this series, why he's hoping to get a Love Island tattoo, the request he made to the producers that was denied - and a conversation he had that didn't make it to air. "I think the only one really is the conversation I had with Samantha.
I pulled her aside and said, 'Look, we haven't talked at all.' It felt like she was avoiding me which was really bizarre. So, I just pulled her up on that and said, 'What's the craic? I can clearly see that you're not interested but say that.' "When we were having conversations, it was more like me asking questions about her but never her interested in anything about me. So, it was a funny one definitely." When asked whether he clashed with any of the islanders, Sam said that he got on with everyone in the villa - except Samantha.
"The only person I'd say I struggled to get on with was Samantha. Straight from the start, there was a barrier there which was hard for me because I get on with everybody. It's very rare that I don't get on with someone.
