Love Island star Tasha Ghouri has admitted that the sudden fame that has come with being on the ITV2 show has been “overwhelming”. Speaking exclusively to OK!, the 24 year old told us how different life has been. “It has been overwhelming,” she says.
“But it’s in the best way possible. It’s been crazy. Coming out, I didn’t expect it to be this busy.
“Sometimes I sit down and I try to take it in, I’m like, 'I shouldn’t be doing this right now,' I have to pinch myself.” Tasha, who is a model and dancer, continues: “It’s weird because when you come out you don’t know what to expect. "You really don’t know how it’s going to be, so when it happens and you’re like: ‘Oh wow it’s so different’. “But there’s still some similarities, like I was modelling and dancing before and doing shoots, so that stuff feels normal.
"But I didn't expect it to be to this level. I wake up every single day and I don't take a minute for granted.” Tasha finished in fourth place on the programme, which recently confirmed Maya Jama as its new host after the departure of Laura Whitmore, with her boyfriend and co-star Andrew Le Page. And since leaving the villa Tasha has found herself inundated with job offers from some huge brands.
As well as becoming eBay’s pre-loved ambassador, Tasha also announced L’Oréal Paris had asked her to become one of their UK ambassadors. This sees the star join a whole host of famous faces working with the brand, including Cheryl, Eva Longoria and Helen Mirren. But Tasha’s ultimate goal is presenting, and she says she would love to follow in the footsteps of former Islander Maura Higgins, 31.
