Maya Jama had to take a brief pause during Sunday night's Love Island: Aftersun as her voice gave out, thanks to her weekend at Glastonbury.
The stunning host was joined by Sam Thompson and former Love Islander Amy Hart on the show, as well as former All Stars Hannah Elizabeth and Anton Danyluk. Current Islander Ciaran Davies' family also joined the studio audience to chat about his latest romantic endeavours on the show – mainly his romance with Nicole.
Just moments into the programme, Maya, 29, halted proceedings, explaining: "Welcome to Love Island: Aftersun. Sorry guys, excuse the voice, blame Glastonbury!" She joked about her condition, saying: "I am a crust today - but tonight is going to be a good one! Because what a week! The twists were twisting, we had a dumping that shocked the nation and the Casa Amor doors were opened! Can I get a woo?" She continued: "Here to make a sense of it all is Love Island legends Hannah and Anton, turbocharged and ready to spill it all - Ronnie and Harriett are here - and here to talk dropping the L-word, it's Ciaran's mum and his best mates.
And now you know it wouldn't be the same without our two blonde bombshells of our very own - Amy Hart and Sam Thompson are here. And breathe!".
Maya and her boyfriend Stormzy were spotted soaking up the festival vibes at Glastonbury over the weekend. Always a musical calendar highlight, the weekend had a stellar line up this year with stars like Dua Lipa, Shania Twain, D-Block Europe, Coldplay, and Cyndi Lauper gracing the stages.
Maya and her beau, who rekindled their romance last year, seemed smitten as they enjoyed D-Block Europe's set from a prime spot. Stormzy, 30, was clearly in a romantic mood, donning heart-shaped sunglasses.
