The final moments of Wednesday’s episode of Love Island hinted at the dreaded mass recoupling as Maya Jama arrived in the South African villa. At the start of the week, twelve new bombshells entered the villa, and the original female contestants were whisked away to Casa Amor, where they were joined by Frankie Davey, Kain Reed, Ryan Weekley, Maxwell Samuda, Bayley Mummery, and Martin Akinola.
Soon enough, the lads were introduced to new girls, Sanam Harrinan, Lynda Flix, Layla Al-Momani, Sammy James, Lydia Karakyriakou and Cynthia Otseh-Taiwo. In the teaser for Thursday's episode, Maya Jama entered the villa in a sensational red number that flashed skin and wowed fans online.
The video then switched to show the contestants gathered around the fire in their slightly more dressed-up attire, with Tom Clare looking particularly disgruntled.There were lots of huffs and puffs as the teaser continued, which ended when the door opened, Maya’s jaw hit the floor. TikToker Will Young was then seen covering his face after seeing a door open.
Who could be on the other side? News of the recoupling initially broke earlier this week when a source suggested that four contestants were sent home, though that number later changed to six. Another source told The Sun that it’s actually nine contestants, as they explained: "Reuniting the two villas was explosive - the recoupling will be a real shock.
