Love Island fans have pointed out Jacques O'Neill's past comment after Paige Thorne said he has "no red flags" in a chat with Gemma Owen - who just so happens to be the rugby player's ex. Paige, 24, is currently in Casa Amor, and after getting to know Billy, she took him aside to tell him that whilst the pair get along and have been "bantering and laughing", from her side it's a "friendship, nothing else." Later, she spoke to Gemma, 19, and told her that Billy had agreed with her about being friends, and Gemma said: "I hate it when boys do that, like, why are you lying?" The girls then got onto the subject of Jacques, 23, with Gemma saying: "So now it's just you and Jacques".
Paige replied: "Yeah, in my head it's just me and Jacques and like, honestly, my heart and my gut is just feeling like...you know that boy, everything he said to me isn't gonna be a lie. "Like surely he's not gonna find something better than what I've already given him".Talk then went on to them "missing" all of the boys from the original villa, with Gemma saying: "Obviously like not like Luca on that sort of level but just like all the boys.
"I miss Dami, I miss Andrew, I miss all of them." Paige then said: "Don't you feel like what we've got with our boys...like if you said to me 'name one red flag about Jacques or one thing you want to change about him', I'd be like... I'd be forcing something, I'd be chatting s**t".
Viewers of Love Island didn't happen to agree, and took to Twitter in their droves to air concern. One person tweeted: "I could literally write an essay on why Jacques is the worst love island character of this season. This man is a walking red flag it's scary".
