Love Island All Stars is set to launch with a major twist during tonight's highly-anticipated first episode, as the typical format is being revamped. In the earliest seasons, the contestants were told to line up and pick the boy or girl they fancied most, then coupling up in their first pairs. While there was always shake-ups when the girls or boys were given the chance to steal a partner, overall, the couples were happy with their connections.
Later on down the line, contestants unfortunately had the choice ripped away from them, with the public told to vote for the first match-ups instead. This time, it's chaos from the get-go as the reality stars are asked who they fancy most by presenter Maya Jama, and there is a huge reunion for one former couple. As a result, the stars believe they'll be able to pair up with who they choose, but it's not long before the show host announces the true twist.
Despite ordering the islanders to stand next to who they're most attracted to, Maya cheekily admits that they have no choice after all, and the public have already chosen their initial couples. As the groups first arrive, the brunette bombshell warns: “Obviously this is Love Island : All Stars so things have got to be a little bit different haven’t they. "Well, I wonder who out of you fancies each other already? Boys come and stand with me.
“Girlies, in a minute I am going to ask you to stand next to the boy that you fancy the most. It doesn’t matter if more than one of you stands next to the same boy but you have to make your decision right now. Off you go!” At first, there is one boy in particular who proves the most popular out of the group, as he is picked by three girls.
