Two former Love Islanders have come face to face for the first time in two years, it's been revealed. Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish, who took part in the seventh series of the hit dating show in 2021, have returned to star in the brand new Love Island:All Stars. During their previous stint on the show, the pair coupled up and remained together for almost the entire season.
However, four days before the final, they called it quits and walked from the show. Following their time on the programme, it was rumoured that Liberty, 24, and Jake, 26, were trying to make a go of it away from the villa. Unfortunately, it was reported that things didn't work out for a second time, either.
Ahead of the show's launch tonight, Liberty was joined by her former flame as the Islanders got ready to enter the villa again. Fellow cast member Chris Taylor attempted to break the ice when he realised the pair were shocked to see each other, and said: "Well this is a fantastic start isn't it, you're going to have to have it out." Liberty responded: "No…not really. It's been two years…" Following the awkward reunion, other Islanders joined the villa, which took the heat off Liberty and Jake for a second.
Luckily for Liberty, her good pal Kaz Kamwi, who she launched a podcast with last year was the next person to enter, alongside Mitchel Taylor who took part in series 10. Following Kaz's arrival, she and Liberty took themselves off to chat about Jake.
The two discussed how she was feeling about seeing her ex, and whether Liberty was ready to talk to him after such a long time. "You know what babe, I'll have a chat tonight and because we are Ex's and we haven’t spoken I want to see exactly where he is at," the 24 year old said.
