Lorraine Kelly has said she thinks Adele is “messing with us” from the engagement rumours. Adele shocked fans as she stepped out onto the red carpet at The Brit Awards with an enormous diamond ring on her engagement finger, leaving many fans to speculate that she is engaged to her boyfriend, Rich Paul. The 62 year old told Good Morning Britain presenters that she thinks Adele is “messing with us” and not actually engaged, but toying with the public.

“What’s your opinion on the ring? Is it an obvious, I’m engaged”, the 51 year old questioned. Lorraine broke into a smile and replied: “She’s messing with us, I think she’s messing with us, I think she enjoys messing with us.” Yet, Richard Madeley, 65, wasn’t convinced, instead he thought it was a “clear” message that the superstar was engaged. “I think she’s sending a clear signal,” he added.
Susanna pointed out that while it could be an obvious announcement, everyone is divided about what it actually means. She said: “Yeah, but it’s so clear none of us knows what it means!” Lorraine agreed with her as she broke a cheeky smile. Only Richard was certain about the engagement, he finished: “I suppose so, I think I do.” The global superstar had a stellar evening as she took home three of the biggest awards of the night, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for 'Easy On Me' and Album of the Year.
