Lorraine was forced to hit back at a troll who insulated her loyal viewers and called them "unemployed and feckless".The 62 year old took to Twitter to criticise the keyboard warrior following Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid's interview with Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Attempting to wrap up the interview, 51 year old Susanna stated that "Lorraine was waiting", prompting Boris to query, "Who's Lorraine?" Daily Mirror's Political Editor, Pippa Crerar, tweeted of the moment: "Boris Johnson ends excellent Susanna Reid interview by asking: 'Who is Lorraine?' and there goes another 1.5 million votes." One person commented on the post, writing: "The only people who watch Lorraine are the unemployed and the feckless." Lorraine immediately hit back, tweeting: "You can say what you like about me, but don't [you] dare have a go at my fantastic viewers. This is beyond patronising." Fans also defended themselves in the comments, with one writing: "Agree Lorraine.
I'm a full-time nurse and often watch your show, love you Lorraine." Another wrote: "Totally agree. My late mother was a nurse and worked for the NHS for 20yrs.
I love watching your show when I'm not working Lorraine." A third added: "I worked from age16 to 70 and now retired watch Lorraine as I did when working shifts. I would watch it before going on duty and doing a 24-hour shift.
Why do people think that if you watch daytime TV you don't work for a living." This comes after Piers Morgan returned to ITV in the same way he left, by storming off (and onto) Lorraine's show. Piers discussed his upcoming explosive interview with Donald Trump and trans issues.
