Sad news for Lorde fans.
On Friday (April 15), the 25-year-old Grammy-winning singer postponed her Solar Power Tour concert that night in Connecticut, sharing in a statement that she was “physically impossible” to perform.

“Connecticut — these past couple days I’ve been pushing through some horrendous laryngitis, and I regret to inform you that my voice hasn’t sufficiently recovered to be able to play the show for you tonight,” Lorde shared in a statement via WVIT. “I’m so, so sorry. I don’t take postponing a show lightly.”
In addition to the Friday night concert, Lorde also postponed her Saturday show in Washington, D.C. to a later date as part of her new second North American leg of her tour, which kicks off in August.
“I’ve tried everything, and unfortunately, it’s physically impossible for me to sing much of the set,” Lorde added. “Please accept my sincere apologies. All well besides that, and absolutely frothing to party with you when I am able.”
