While Kéllé Bryan has a slew of TV stints under her belt – from The Bill to Hollyoaks – many will have forgotten that she featured on Love Island in 2006. Kéllé shot to fame on The Bill in the 1990s, to later form girl group Eternal alongside Easther and Vernie Bennett, as well as Louise Redknapp. Following her acting and singing success, Kéllé went on to join the line-up of Celebrity Love Island 2006.
Other celebs on the same season included Bianca Gascoigne, Calum Best, Abs Breen and Shane Lynch. In light of the newest season of Love Island starting on Monday 6 June, the Loose Women ladies were discussing the popular ITV2 show, when Kéllé was reminded that she’d been a contestant once as well. Chatting to her fellow panellists Coleen Nolan, Charlene White, Judi Love and Penny Lancaster – who recently wowed at premiere of ABBA’s new show – the singer reflected on her time on the programme.
“It was a great experience. I loved being in Fiji, it was amazing,” Kéllé began. “I was with a group of people who were troubled and going through difficult times – I mean, there were some hook-ups that went on.
Bianca Gascoigne won in the end, but I was runner-up so I was really proud of my little self.” Loose Women, GMB, Lorraine and This Morning ladies' triumphs from OBEs to wind-surfing the Channel View gallery Kéllé added: “[Love Island] gave me the confidence to know that I did have a life outside of Eternal. It was the first big thing I’d done since being in the band.” Eternal formed in 1992, and initially disbanded in 2000. Kéllé had officially left the band two years prior. The group went on to do a reunion tour in late 2013 with everyone but Louise Redknapp as part of ITV2’s The Big Reunion.

Owen Gleiberman Chief Film CriticBryan Cranston has played his share of fuddy-duddy straight arrows, and when you see him in “Jerry & Marge Go Large,” you may just think, “Oh, he’s doing it again.” But Cranston is too fine an actor to merely phone in another nerd. The character is every bit as wholesome, square, and aw-shucks genial as he looks.
