We're a week into the latest series Love Island and one contestant is arguably the most discussed Islander in the famous villa this year. Dressage rider Gemma Owen, the daughter of former Liverpool, Manchester United and England striker Michael Owen, had viewers talking just a couple of days in after she coupled-up with Italian hunk Davide Sanclimenti who lives in Manchester.
The age gap between Gemma, 19, and Davide, 27, sparked a debate on Twitter. Then Gemma's ex boyfriend Jacques O'Neill made a surprise arrival as a latecomer bombshell to shake up the couplings on the ITV dating contest.
Many fans have taken to social media to grumble that the Team GB champion is getting too much air time in their opinions. @MuradMerali asked: "Is this Love Island or Gemma island?" And @audreythefinest said: "Can’t lie it’s becoming the Gemma show."

@KirstyLouise21x tweeted: "Another ex of Gemma’s going in? Is this the Gemma show all of a sudden?." @Isabell57876550 said: "Me realising this is actually called the Gemma Owen show." And @seramensahx said: "I feel like this year Love Island is just trying to make it about only Gemma."
But Gemma fans have rushed to defend her. @z4r4hmaj tweeted: "I like Gemma." @xxemma85xx commented: "I like the girl." And @camixhalle wrote: "Gemma is a sweet girl. It's not her fault she gets a lot of screen time.
