Loose Women panellist and actress opens up on cancer scare after 'finding lump'

Loose Women star Chizzy Akudolu has shared her terrifying brush with cancer, as she discovered a worrying "lump" during a routine check of her breasts.The TV actress opened up on going through the health scare in private after she found the lump back in May. Chizzy, 49, who starred on the ITV daytime series between 2018 and 2019, promptly booked herself an appointment at the doctor's as a result. She was then thankfully given a mammogram and an ultrasound to examine the mystery mass, which was thankfully nothing serious.
Sharing her story on her personal Instagram page, the Loose Women star admitted to fans that she didn't usually like to open up on personal issues. "I wasn't planning on mentioning this, but it might help someone," she began. "In May I found a lump.The NHS offer a two-week service for breasts and I was seen for a mammogram and ultrasound.
"Thankfully I got the all clear. Don't delay. Get it checked," the Holby City actress urged her followers firmly.
"Thank you to the NHS," she continued alongside a red heart emoji. "This is a free service. If you find a lump, get it checked.
"Stay safe and keep on supporting our fantastic NHS," Chizzy added. Fans shared their well-wishes in the comments and "relief" to hear that their favourite star was safe and well. "So glad you were all clear!" one person wrote.
