Kaye Adams left her fellow panellists in stitches after getting Dermot O’Leary’s name wrong. While teasing Loose Women's show today, Kaye was chatting to Dermot, 48, and his co-presenter Alison Hammond who were in the This Morning studio when she called the former X Factor host by the wrong name. As the camera went over to Kaye in the Loose Women studio to introduce the show, she replied to Dermot’s question of how she was doing with: “I’m very good Brendan, how are you?” The 58 year old quickly tried to claw back her mistake and tried to explain why she made the faux pas as Alison could be heard in hysterics.
The rest of the Loose Women panel could also be heard chuckling in the background. “Come on Dermot, let me pull this back,” Kaye quipped. “Brendan is over there,” as she proceeded to point at former Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole.
“I looked at [Brendan] and said the wrong word. Oh my goodness. Do you ever get away with insulting Dermot?” In good jest, Dermot replied that being mistaken for Brendan was a compliment, not an insult.
He went on to joke that Kaye called him Brenda, which she denied. Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter. You can sign up at the top of the page.
Kaye further teased Mel Giedroyc’s feature on today's show and the former Great British Bake Off host joined in on the fun and waved at the camera while saying, “Hi Brendan”. It's not the first time Kaye has caused giggles on the ITV show as she previously had the Loose Women panel in fits of laughter when she attempted to twerk. The TV star proudly announced that she’d learnt to do the dance move, and proceeded to demonstrate.
