Liz Sheridan has sadly died.
The actress, perhaps best known for playing Jerry Seinfeld’s mother on Seinfeld, passed away at the age of 93 on Friday (April 15) in New York City.

Her longtime friend and rep Amanda Hendon confirmed that she died overnight in her sleep of natural causes, via Deadline.
In addition to playing Helen Seinfeld in Seinfeld for about 20 episodes from Season 2 to the finale, she also recurred on ALF as the grumpy neighbor Raquel Ochmonek and appeared in several Broadway shows, including 1977′s Happy End.
She wrote a book about her romantic relationship with James Dean in the 1950s as well, called Dizzy and Jimmy.
She started her career in roles in productions like Kojak, The White Shadow and Gimme a Break! as well as Star 80 and Jekyll & Hyde: Together Again. Our thoughts are with Liz‘s loved ones at this difficult time.
