He added: “Sometimes getting a bad experience like that is good for you and what happened last season will make the feeling much better if we do achieve it this time.
“Saturday’s game could be pivotal. If we can win, that would be four points and would make it hard for St Mirren to catch us with their fixtures. Everyone knows it’s a big game but we won’t treat it differently to any other.”
Penrice is coming off a fine performance in an unorthodox right-wing position against Ross County where he produced an assist for Joel Nouble.
