Miley Cyrus and Pharrell have released a new collaborative single – listen to ‘Doctor (Work It Out)’ below.The funk-infused song marks Cyrus’ first release of 2024, and finds the singer lusting over a love interest.“I could be your doctor/ And I could be your nurse/ I think I see the problem/ It’s only gon’ get worse (Uh, uh)/ A midnight medication/ Just show me where it hurts (Uh)/ I need to rock you, baby/ Before your body bursts,” Cyrus sings.‘Doctor (Work It Out)’, which was produced by Pharrell, is said to have originally been written for Cyrus’ 2013 album ‘Bangerz’. The track is the pair’s fifth collaboration, and their first in a decade.It arrives with a stylish official video, directed by Jacob Bixenman – tune in here:Pharrell previewed the single during a Louis Vuitton show in January before promising last week that the collab was “coming soon”.‘Doctor (Work It Out)’ follows Cyrus’ ballad ‘Used To Be Young’, which was released last August.

Elbow have shared a new single titled ‘Balu’ – you can listen to it below.The gritty, synth-heavy track is the latest preview of the Manchester band’s 10th studio album ‘Audio Vertigo’, which is due to arrive on March 22 via Polydor/Geffen (pre-order here).It sees frontman Guy Garvey sing over an infectious groove and triumphant horns, with the song finding Elbow in a heavier, more explosive sonic space.A description reads: ‘”Balu’ shares much musical DNA with the wider album; a focus on rhythm, a willingness to experiment with new sounds, and a love of beats that reflects the freedom the band felt throughout the recording process.”The single is accompanied by an official video, which combines black-and-white footage of Garvey and co. performing live with some abstract clips of a mystery character in a mask.

Nick Cave has shared a cover of Édith Piaf’s ‘La Vie En Rose’ from Jack Antonoff‘s soundtrack to The New Look – listen below.The Bad Seeds frontman’s heartfelt rendition of the song was produced by Antonoff for the new Todd A. Kessler-created historical drama, which premiered on Apple TV+ on February 14.Released as a single in 1947, the original version of ‘La Vie En Rose’ is the signature track of French singer Piaf.

SZA has shared a new song titled "Saturn." The track was first previewed in a MasterCard commercial that aired during the 2024 Grammys In a Rolling Stone cover story, SZA indicated that "Saturn" would be part of a deluxe edition of her 2022 album SOS called Lana. A release date for the bonus version of the album remains TBC.

Apple TV's new prestige drama series The New Look features a soundtrack that's assembled and produced by Jack Antonoff, the in-demand pop savant who just won at the 2024 Grammys for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical (his third Grammy in that category and 10th overall). The soundtrack collects covers of classic songbook standards from modern pop giants, and today's track comes from Perfume Genius, the singer-songwriter born Mike Hadreas.

According to Phoebe Dynevor, there’s not just a sexist double standard in Hollywood; there’s an ageist one, too. In a new interview with The Evening Standard, the “Bridgerton” alum and “Fair Play” star talked about how she feels there are more roles in the film industry for “young men” and “older women,” but not as many for actresses her age.
