‘Barbie Girl’ Turns 25: Aqua Opens Up on Song’s Legacy and Absence From Movie

Mike Wass Helium-pitched vocals and kitschy lyrics made Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” a novelty hit for the ages, and the perky euro-pop anthem, which took the world by storm in 1997, is still going strong 25 years later.
