Ellise Shafer With the release of her debut, Suki Waterhouse is throwing caution to the wind.Despite titling the album “I Can’t Let Go” — out today via Sub Pop — Waterhouse hopes that by releasing the 10-track project, she’s setting free not only haunting memories, but her own inhibitions about fully pursuing a music career.Since 2016, Waterhouse has released one single per year — with the exception of 2019, which brought both “Coolest Place in the World” and “Johanna” — each more fully-formed and sonically interesting than the last. Slowly building up a passionate fanbase on the internet, devotees of Waterhouse — who is also a model, actor and entrepreneur and was a bonafide “it girl” during the golden age of Tumblr — have been begging for a full-length project for years.

Mall Grab has announced his debut album ‘What I Breathe’ – you can listen to his new single ‘Understand’, which features Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates, below.The Australian-born, London-based producer, real name Jordon Alexander, will release the record on August 5 via the Looking For Trouble imprint – pre-order is available here.“I have been lucky enough to work with some of my favourite artists which have really been the glue that keeps the project coherent,” Alexander said in a statement. “There are a lot of familiar sounds on this album that my listeners and followers have become accustomed to and joined me in the deep dive. Amsterdam, featuring Taylor Swift was aired at CinemaCon in Las Vegas yesterday (April 27).The film which stars John David Washington, Margot Robbie and Christian Bale, is a period piece which has been described as an “original romantic crime epic,” according to Disney executive Tony Chambers via Variety.It is apparently set in the 1930s, where the leading trio of Bale, Robbie and Washington “find themselves at the centre of one of the most secret plots in American history.”The film also stars Zoe Saldana, Michael Shannon, Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Rock.Swift surfaces in the trailer as a mourning daughter, breaking down in tears before her father’s body as Rock and Bale look on.“You have a dead white man in the box. It’s not even a coffin, it doesn’t even have a top on,” Rock tells Bale in the clip.

Thom Yorke has given an update on the debut album from The Smile, revealing that it is “pretty much done”.The band, featuring Yorke, his Radiohead bandmate Jonny Greenwood and Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner, formed last year and have been sharing sporadic teasers of a debut album since.New single ‘Pana-vision’, shared this month and taken from the Peaky Blinders soundtrack, marks the fourth track from The Smile since they debuted in 2021 at Glastonbury’s Live At Worthy Farm livestream. They went on to release ‘You Will Never Work In Television Again’ later that same year, followed by ‘The Smoke’ and ‘Skrting On The Surface’ in 2022.Speaking alongside Greenwood on the Smartless podcast, Yorke confirmed that the album is almost finished.Of the process of writing the record, he went on: “Jonny had come with a bunch of ideas, and I hadn’t seen him for a while, so they all just came pouring out before I could go, ‘Wait, wait, wait.’ There was a lot of me retrospectively going, ‘Okay, what am I going to do with that?’ Which was really nice.”Yorke added: “I like trying to find different ways to write lyrics.
