Lil Durk's video for "What Happened To Virgil" was always likely to be a heart-rending moment and the finished product, which arrived overnight, makes good on the promise. The video is dedicated to Virgil Abloh, who passed away in 2021, as well as Durk affiliate King Von, plus his late brother, DThang.
The video opens with a quote from Abloh in which he extolls the virtues of making the most of your time on earth: “Life is so short that you can’t waste even a day subscribing to what someone thinks you can do versus knowing what you can do.” The Off-White founder and artistic director of menswear at Louis Vuitton passed away age 41 following a private battle with cancer.
