Lewis Miller wants more Australia caps after being given his first taste of international action under the arch against England at Wembley on Friday evening.
And the former Central Coast Mariners right-back admits that his snippet of action in London has made him hungrier for more success in Edinburgh under former Mariners and current Cabbage boss Nick Montgomery. Miller was brought to Hibs by Lee Johnson last season, making 12 appearances before being given his big break at the start of the current campaign.
His performances have seen him come onto the radar of Socceroos boss Graham Arnold, with his first call-up for this month's friendlies in the recent international break - and after being brought on to fend against Marcus Rashford, he couldn't hide his delight - whilst naming club and national teammate Martin Boyle as a 'huge influence'.
Speaking to Hibs' official website, Miller said: “It was an unbelievable experience for me to get my first cap, surrounded by world-class players and playing against a top opposition.
“When Graham Arnold told me to get ready and warm up, you are just looking around trying to soak it all in on the touchline. You are trying to take it all during the moment, whilst also trying to stay focussed and not get distracted on your own performance.
“I was just so happy to be involved with the camp, it was a fairytale for me to make my debut at Wembley in front of 81,000 fans and hopefully I can experience many more moments like this in the future.”
"I think the experience will help push me even harder at Club level with Hibs. There is a lot of competition for that right-back spot, so in order for me to get there I need to be at the top of my game.
"The better I play at Hibs the more chance of me
