Labour leader Keir Starmer has said he would resign if fined by the police over the Beergate allegations, and we want to know if you think he's made the right call.
In a statement on Monday, Starmer said that he would do “the right thing" if he received a fixed penalty notice, following his call for Prime Minister Boris Johnson to resign after the Downing Street Partygate scandal.
However, the leader of the opposition maintained that "no laws were broken" during the events which took place in Durham.

Some readers have come out in support of Starmer, with one saying: " Boris and his cronies were acting like Downing Street was a nightclub. Their attempts to smear Starmer with the help of the media is disgusting.
"I’m not even a fan of Starmer but this is why the electorate are sick of politicians, trying to land cheap shots rather than tackling real issues like the cost of living crisis."
Another also said: "This is just ridiculous, up & down the country people were having take aways in work canteens. Would people be as bothered if he was drinking a can of Coke?"
Others were less impressed though, with one person responding: "Politicians have nothing but contempt for the public. It's all do as I say, not as I do."
Another added: " Every excuse under the sun but I don't believe a word that comes out of the mouth."
