Fans of Channel 4 show Gogglebox are calling for one of its most popular couples to be axed after last night's show. People were troubled by some of the pair's comments which were aired on Channel 4, but now things have escalated, and viewers are calling for them to be dropped.
As part of the show, viewers were shown a clip of a Good Morning Britain interview between Susanna Reid and Boris Johnson. During the interview, Susanna asked Boris Johnson about the case of a 77-year-old woman, who is struggling with her heating bills.
Elsie is struggling so much, she's forced to ride the bus all day just to keep warm. Boris Johnson replied that he had made that possible thanks to bringing in free bus passes for the elderly.

Of course, the clip didn't go down well with most people, who were outraged by the Prime Minister's response. But the reaction of Gogglebox duo Giles and Mary rubbed people up even further the wrong way.
Mary said: "I am very sorry for Elsie but Susanna is making out it is Boris fault and like he doesn't care." Giles asks her: "Whose fault is it?". Mary replies: "Well it is the global situation." This angered many fans who took to Twitter to share their views. User @HellyB3 said: “#Gogglebox get rid of Mary.”
Eleanor Jennings said: "#Gogglebox Mary cries her eyes out at nothing every week until it comes to real stuff. Then all she can do is defend Johnson. Horrid woman." @JennyCostello slammed: "Is Mary being serious? She would NEVER make those excuses for anyone else."
@MsSC1986 slammed: "She’s a true blue through-and-through. It’s a pity. They are so entertaining, but the unwavering support for the Tories is troubling."
