Leonardo DiCaprio shows his support at the Robbie Robertson: A Celebration of His Life And Music event held at The Village Studios on Wednesday (November 15) in Los Angeles.
If you don’t know, Robbie passed away this past August at the age of 80. Robbie and Martin Scorsese were frequent collaborators. Before his death, Robbie did the music for the film Killers of the Flower Moon, which Leonardo and Lily Gladstone both co-star in together. The film was directed by Martin.
Lily and Martin were both in attendance at the celebration of his life.
In Robbie‘s final interview with Variety, he spoke about working with Martin, sharing, “We’re in awe ourselves that our brotherhood has outlasted everything. We’ve been through it; we’ve been there and back. I am so proud of our friendship and our work. It’s been just a gift in life.”

Martin Scorsese has revealed that Robert De Niro wanted the whole of Killers of the Flower Moon to be filmed in the Osage language.Scorsese revealed the news during a Q&A session with fellow filmmaking legend Steven Spielberg after a screening of the film last week (November 14) at the DGA Theatre in Los Angeles.The recently released film – which is led by Leonardo DiCaprio, De Niro and Lily Gladstone – is based on a non-fiction book of the same name published in 2017. It tells the true story of a series of murders of Osage Native Americans over the rights for the oil under their land in Oklahoma.The film includes several scenes in which the Osage language is spoken, and De Niro in particular enjoyed learning it so much that he asked the director whether the whole film could be made in that dialect.Scorsese said: “By the way, a lot of the Osage language is lost, but they’re putting it back together, so to speak.
“The day of using Gunsmoke and Bonanza portraying us is over. We have a voice, and we use it,” said Julia O’Keefe, the Osage Nation costume consultant for Apple Original Films‘ Killers of the Flower Moon.
