Comedy legend Lenny Henry has been pictured for the first time in his starring role in a major new Netflix drama in Manchester. Lenny was pictured on set in the city centre this week as filming continues on Missing You.
It's the latest in a string of Harlan Coben novels to be adapted for Netflix. The most recent, Fool Me Once which also filmed in Manchester, became a worldwide smash hit when it was released in January.
Film crews on the new series have already been seen out across Manchester, including at Hardman Street and the latest scenes close to the Bridgewater Hall. Scenes have also been shot in Bolton.

The new thriller sees Slow Horses star Rosalind Eleazar take the lead role of police detective Kat Donovan. Her life begins to unravel when she stumbles across the profile of her ex-fiancé on a dating site more than a decade after he disappeared.
She begins to question everyone in her life and forces her to return to the mystery surrounding her own father's murder.
It appears the scenes being filmed this week will be part of flashbacks for the drama. For Lenny will be playing Kat's dad Clint Donovan in the series.
On set Rosalind was seen hugging and kissing Lenny in character as the pair strolled through the city centre. Top Boy actor Ashley Waters was also pictured on set, although it has not yet been confirmed the character he plays in the drama series.
Netflix has confirmed that Richard Armitage will return for his fourth Harlan Coben drama to star in Missing You - following the success of his previous roles in Fool Me Once, Stay Close and The Stranger. He will play Ellis Stagger in the series.
