Laverne Cox‘s twin brother M Lamar was revealed to be a contestant on Claim to Fame during the latest episode this week.
The 50-year-old actress took to her Instagram account on Tuesday (July 26) to share the clip from M’s reveal and to respond to the inspiring speech he gave on the show.
Claim to Fame challenges 12 celebrity relatives to step outside their famous family member’s shadow and live together under one roof, concealing their identity and lineage in the quest for their own fame and fortune. They will compete in challenges, form alliances and play DNA detective in hopes of avoiding elimination and winning the coveted $100,000 prize, and staking their own “Claim to Fame”!
After M‘s true identity was uncovered, he gave an inspiring speech about Laverne‘s career and achievements.

Laverne posted the video and wrote, “I am an immensely blessed woman in a plethora of ways. One of the most important is that I have known my brother [M] my entire life. I don’t have words to express what his words here broadcast on Claim to Fame last night mean to me. My brother’s love, support and counsel are part of the reason I am who I am. And this reaffirms for me that there is a God, a higher power, a blessed energy force bigger than us.
