Lauryn Hill And Wyclef Jean Reunite For Rare Fugees Performance At 2022 Essence Festival

Kya (Daisy Edgar-Jones) goes on to publish several illustrated books about the local environment.During the four-month shoot in the marshlands near New Orleans, the cast and crew experienced a series of obstacles ranging from alligator encounters to weather-induced shutdowns.

Nicki Minaj has seemingly taken aim at Kanye West during her performance at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans over the weekend.The performance, which took place on Friday night (July 1), was Minaj’s first in-person live performance in around three years. A portion of the set was dedicated to a medley of Minaj’s early guest verses that originally saw the rise in her profile – including Young Money’s ‘Bedrock’ and Drake‘s ‘Make Me Proud’.

No further details about the potential plot, cast or release date of Ocean’s latest potential film have been confirmed yet.Despite being confirmed for Coachella 2023, the last glimpse of new music from Ocean came on Christmas Day last year, when he shared a new song on his Apple Music show, Blonded Radio.Ocean added that the new song, which appears to be untitled, was recorded in a single take with Cory Henry in summer 2020.

Lauryn Hill made a surprise guest appearance during Wyclef Jean‘s set at Essence festival on Friday night (July 1), joining him to perform four Fugees songs.Hill appeared about half an hour into Jean’s set at the New Orleans event, with the two launching into their famous cover of Lori Lieberman’s ‘Killing Me Softly With His Song’, ‘How Many Mics’, ‘Fu-Gee-La’ and ‘Ready Or Not’. The band was told about Haynes, and after watching some of her past performances the band wondered if she could fly up to Italy, stat.«I can't say exactly when I got the call because I don't want to give timelines,» she told.
