Love Island narrator Iain Stirling has landed a huge new job voicing the stateside version of the show.

The new series of Love Island is just hours away and as the next instalment of singletons unpack their bikinis a number of shake ups have been brought in breathe new life into the show. But host Laura Whitmore will just be hoping she can breathe with having to endure a bad odour after revealing she hoped the new villa "smells better". Along with changes to the show's format, including viewers picking who the contestants couple up with in episode one, there will also be a completely new location.
The new retreat, described more as a mansion, will be bigger, swisher and more remote than the last villa. Speaking on Good Morning Britain with showbiz reporter Richard Arnold, Laura, 37, chatted about the changes to the show. She said: "It's a new villa completely.
Last year, I wasn't even allowed inside the villa because of Covid so I used to have to go around to the edge of the pool and around that way. "So I'm going to try and get a few more sneaky peeks this year but I hope it smells better than the last one!" The Irish model has spoken about the smell before, describing it as a combination of "fake tan" and "flatulence" during an interview with The Times in 2020. She explained: "The Love Island villa smells.That’s the one thing the audience at home never see.
"When you walk into a house with that many men and there are only two or three toilets – the smell of fake tan, the flatulence, the perfumes and aftershaves all together is like this eclectic medley." Hopefully with the new, bigger villa there may be more room for those extra toilets... Good Morning Britain's Entertainment Editor Richard Arnold revealed that the show has a secret family connection to Love Island contestant Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu.The 52 year old made the revelation as he presented a clip of Ekin-Su acting quite animatedly in Turkish soap opera Kuzey Yildizi on Wednesday morning's show. Richard informed hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid that he’d received help in translating the footage from a GMB colleague working behind the scenes of GMB, who is actually quite closely related to Ekin-Su. “So we had that translated by one of our colleagues who turns out to be Ekin-Su’s cousin,” Richard said, surprising the co-presenters.
