Laura Anderson reveals parenting struggles and tears amidst fears she's 'moving backwards' as a mum

Laura Anderson has opened up about the realities of parenting and has revealed how she feels like she is going “backwards at the minute” as she navigates being a first-time mum to baby Bonnie. The 34 year old, who welcomed baby Bonnie into the world in September with ex-boyfriend Gary Lucy, took to social media to get real about her experiences of parenting and her desire to be “good at everything”. In a post uploaded to her Instagram story on Saturday, 23 March, the former Love Island star explained to her 1.5 million followers how she’d had a “weird day” as she looked after little Bonnie.

Today has been such a weird day. I’ve gone from crying to laughing. I think we’re trying to do too much on not enough sleep.
Bonnie has been waking in the night and again and not eating or having her bedtime bottle,” she began.
The TV personality continued: “I feel like were moving backwards at the minute, she’s changing so quickly but I can’t seem to keep up my end. Hopefully just a little disconnect. “I thought I’d been nailing each step so far but hey ho it’s not supposed to be easy.
I just like to be good at everything but this isn’t about me and she is doing absolutely fine. Patience is a virtue.” The relatable admission comes after Laura confirmed that she was “happily single” and “very content” back in February, despite briefly rekindling her romance with former soap star Gary over the Christmas period. Since meeting on Celebs Go Dating in 2022, Laura and Gary have had an on/off relationship, though last month Laura gave a relationship status update as she wished her followers a happy ‘Galentine’s’ and said that was “very content, happily single and fully hydrated.” The update came just over one
