David Potts couldn't contain his excitement as he was announced as the winner of Celebrity Big Brother during Friday night's live final, 22 March. But this isn't his first stint on TV as the 30-year-old first rose to fame on Ibiza Weekender in 2016 and later its successor Kavos Weekender – which follows contestants in their twenties as they spend time at a Greek hotel resort. However it's now been reported that the TV personality could be cashing in what's likely to be his biggest earner yet with a six-figure deal after coming out on top during the finale.
David beat fellow finalists Nikita Kuzmin, Colson Smith, Louis Walsh and Fern Britton, but there was no hard feelings as they celebrated the end of the series with a boozy wrap party afterwards. When David entered the CBB house, he told viewers how he was "large, in charge, taking over, and ready for it" and fans loved it - so much so, that he went on to win. But the star's actual rise to fame comes from starring in a slew of reality shows, including Celebs Go Dating, Celebs on the Farm, Celebrity Karaoke Trip and Celebrity Ghost Trip.
It all started when David, who was born and raised in Bolton, started working as a holiday rep in Ibiza and Magaluf in his early twenties. It was then in 2016 that he was scouted by TV producers for the show Ibiza Weekender and joined in the fifth series. Viewers loved him and he remained on the show until it ended in 2020.
David then began to make appearances on other shows during this time and made a name for himself as a popular TV star.
