Lanarkshire has the second-highest coronavirus death rate in Scotland.
Figures released by the National Records of Scotland today (Wednesday, April 22) revealed that 3.5 people in every 10,000 in Lanarkshire have died from coronavirus. Across Scotland, the rate is 2.9 per 10,000 people.
Another 90 people died as a result of the virus last week taking the total for the county to 228 as of Sunday, April 19.
For the second consecutive week, 90 people in Lanarkshire died as a result of the virus.
