Lady Gaga raises $35 million for coronavirus relief, helps launch 'One World: Together at Home' TV special

Global Citizen has shared the soundtrack to the One World: Together at Home broadcast, a livestreamed event in support of the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization. The 79-song album featuring live performances from the event is out now via Universal; all streaming revenue from the compilation will also be donated to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Lady Gaga’s One World: Together At Home special raised almost $128 million in the U.S. for the coronavirus relief fund.

The two-hour event, which also saw the participation of Bollywood stars and , featured performances by Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Lizzo, and Taylor Swift among others, was not planned as a fundraiser but the April 18 show inspired people across America to donate, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and Beyonce kicked off a global special of music, comedy and personal stories in what Gaga called a “love letter” to frontline workers battling the coronavirus pandemic.

Lady Gaga was just one of many artists to perform during Global Citizen’s One World: Together at Home broadcast to benefit frontline workers and the World Health Organization. Pop music superstar Lady Gaga on Monday announced a worldwide telecast featuring Paul McCartney, Lizzo, Billie Eilish and others to support healthcare workers responding to the global coronavirus outbreak.
