Lady Gaga announces star-studded coronavirus benefit telecast

The two-hour event, which also saw the participation of Bollywood stars and , featured performances by Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Lizzo, and Taylor Swift among others, was not planned as a fundraiser but the April 18 show inspired people across America to donate, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Yesterday, Lady Gaga and Global Citizen put on a livestreamed concert special featuring performances from a number of queer artists.

Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and Beyonce kicked off a global special of music, comedy and personal stories in what Gaga called a “love letter” to frontline workers battling the coronavirus pandemic.

Lady Gaga was just one of many artists to perform during Global Citizen’s One World: Together at Home broadcast to benefit frontline workers and the World Health Organization.
