U2 debut new song at pop-up Las Vegas show

U2 played a surprise show in front of the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas last night (September 16) while filming a music video, where they played a new song live. The song, ‘Atomic City’, is believed to be about the very city the Irish quartet were playing in, and contained the lyrics “I’m free, so unexpectedly/I’m free from what’s in front of me!” and “I’ve got the key to the cages, waiting for my dice/I came here for the fight/I’m front row in Las Vegas. And there’s a big one on tonight”.It is believed the band were performing to around 250 extras, and frontman Bono’s vocals were live but the music was recorded. The song is reportedly going to be released before the band’s forthcoming residency at the new MSG Sphere in the city.

Adele says she’s no longer taking selfies during her Las Vegas shows

Adele has said that she will no longer be able to take selfies with fans during her Las Vegas shows. The musician, whose Las Vegas residency is due to end in November, said an increase in COVID cases was to blame for the decision.Throughout her stint in Vegas, Adele has regularly filmed videos and took photos with fans in the audience.“Normally I would absolutely stop and chat and all of that and hear all about your life and be the nosey person that I am,” Adele said during her most recent show. “However, I’m hanging on by a thread trying not to get COVID” (via Music News).“Everyone that I know that I work with has fucking COVID, so it’s a miracle that I haven’t had it yet,” she added.

easy on him. Adele came to an enthusiastic young fan’s defense Saturday during her “Weekends With Adele” Las Vegas residency, briefly stopping the show to order venue security at Caesars Palace to stop “bothering” him.In a three-minute TikTok video with more than 2.1 million views posted on Sunday, user Juan P. Lastra records himself standing up in front of a mostly seated audience at The Colosseum, belting his heart out to the 16-time Grammy winner’s song “I Drink Wine.”But this doesn’t go over with one concertgoer, a middle-aged woman who approaches him and asks that he sit back down.He reluctantly obliges until Adele, 35, finishes the song, then says in his direction, “You can stand up now, darling.” Still recording, Lastra springs out of his seat, excitedly cheering and jumping up and down over his moment of recognition. That’s when a security guard approaches him, seemingly to get Lastra to calm down.
