U2 played a surprise show in front of the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas last night (September 16) while filming a music video, where they played a new song live.The song, ‘Atomic City’, is believed to be about the very city the Irish quartet were playing in, and contained the lyrics “I’m free, so unexpectedly/I’m free from what’s in front of me!” and “I’ve got the key to the cages, waiting for my dice/I came here for the fight/I’m front row in Las Vegas. And there’s a big one on tonight”.It is believed the band were performing to around 250 extras, and frontman Bono’s vocals were live but the music was recorded.The song is reportedly going to be released before the band’s forthcoming residency at the new MSG Sphere in the city.

Adele has said that she will no longer be able to take selfies with fans during her Las Vegas shows.The musician, whose Las Vegas residency is due to end in November, said an increase in COVID cases was to blame for the decision.Throughout her stint in Vegas, Adele has regularly filmed videos and took photos with fans in the audience.“Normally I would absolutely stop and chat and all of that and hear all about your life and be the nosey person that I am,” Adele said during her most recent show. “However, I’m hanging on by a thread trying not to get COVID” (via Music News).“Everyone that I know that I work with has fucking COVID, so it’s a miracle that I haven’t had it yet,” she added.

Days after Adele defended a fan from security at one of her shows, we’re seeing a whole new perspective on the situation.

Thania Garcia Adele stopped her concert during her Las Vegas residency on Aug. 26 to scold the Caesars Palace security who was “bothering” one of her concert-goers. In fan-captured footage, Adele can be heard stopping her performance of “Water Under the Bridge” to ask what was going on in the crowd.

Adele had to briefly pause her Las Vegas residency performance over the weekend.

Adele isn’t here for her fans not having fun at her concerts.
