LA County Sheriff Will No Longer Enforce Curfews

Los Angeles County and several cities in the area extended curfew orders on Wednesday night and into Thursday morning as protests are again scheduled in some areas of Southern California. Los Angeles pushed back its curfew time from the 6 p.m.

Los Angeles County’s libraries will reopen for sidewalk service Monday, allowing residents to pick up books on hold between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at select local branches.

Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and West Hollywood have announced another round of curfews for Wednesday night beginning at 1 p.m. for business districts and 4 p.m. citywide for Beverly Hills, and 6 p.m. citywide for Santa Monica and WeHo.

On a late afternoon conference call with the region’s law enforcement leaders, Los Angeles County Sheriff Villanueva told the Los Angeles Blade that there will be a “significant” presence of police and deputies at Sunset Blvd and Crescent Heights are tonight, even though the planned protest was cancelled. The protest coincides with a curfew in West Hollywood starting at 4:00PM
