There are 7,181 people are currently hospitalized for the infectious disease. Los Angeles Public Health officials also stated that the latest hospitalization numbers reflect nearly an 1,000% increase from Oct. 29, when the county experienced 750 Covid-19 hospitalizations.

County test positive for COVID -19, and these 15,000 individuals who test positive each day were capable of infecting others for two days before they had any symptoms or knew they were positive. Los Angeles County saw nearly 100,000 new Covid-19 cases in a matter of one week, bringing the region to a total of 906,171 total cases.
“The rate of new cases this month is translating into a disastrous increase in the number of people with severe COVID-19 symptoms being sent to our local hospitals,” said a statement from the Los Angeles County Public Health Department on Wednesday.
