Kristin Chenoweth is dishing on the upcoming Wicked movie!
The Tony Award-winning actress, who originated the role of Glinda on Broadway, has been very supportive of the movie adaptation and especially of Ariana Grande, who will be playing the same role.
In a new interview, Kristin opened up about her thoughts on the recently released trailer, the movie itself and even a vocal hack that she passed on to Ariana.

While speaking with Women’s Health, Kristin shared that she has picked up some vocal benefits in drinking a shot of apple cider vinegar a day, and she taught that to Ariana, who she first met when the pop star was 10. They even worked together on NBC’s Hairspray Live.
As for the upcoming Wicked movie, Kristin revealed that she has seen early cuts of the first movie, and she “can’t wait” for everyone to see it!
“I did cry,” she said of the trailer, which dropped last week. “There’s things that we can’t do in Broadway that they can do in a film. I got really, really excited.”
After the trailer released, many compared Ariana‘s vocals to Kristin‘s, thinking it was her talking in the voiceover at the beginning and her singing sounding very similar. Kristin has previously talked about those comparisons!
Kristin has a couple of projects coming up – She will be returning to Broadway in the new musical The Queen of Versailles, which will kick off a limited engagement in Boston before going to Broadway.
