King Charles' spokesman has shared that His Majesty is 'delighted' by news that the Princess Of Wales will join her family at tomorrow's Trooping Of The Colour. In a 24 word statement, the King celebrated his daughter-in-law's decision to join his official birthday celebrations in London.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "His Majesty is delighted that the Princess is able to attend tomorrow's events, and is much looking forward to all elements of the day".
This comes after Kate announced in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer, and would be undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy. In a statement a spokesperson for William said he was "pleased" Kate was starting her return to the "projects that are important to her".
The statement added: "He will continue to focus his time on supporting his wife and children, while continuing to undertake his public duties." Kate has not been seen in public with the rest of the royal family since Christmas Day last year at Sandringham.
Updating the public on Friday, she thanked them for the outpouring of support, saying she had been "blown away". However, Kate cautioned she was "not out of the woods" and would be in treatment for "a few more months".She also addressed the difficult experience of chemo, saying she had both good and bad days.
The Princess explained: "I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days.
On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.
