Sophia Scorziello editor Paramount and Apple have released the second trailer for Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone in one of the year’s buzziest films. “Killers of the Flower Moon” marks Scorsese’s first narrative feature since the 2019 film “The Irishman.” The Apple Original film has set its wide theatrical release for October 20, and will subsequently stream on Apple TV+. “Killers of the Flower Moon” is based on David Grann’s non-fiction novel of the same name, which investigates the dozens of harrowing murders of Osage people in Oklahoma throughout the 1920s. Scorsese’s film and Grann’s book follow romance of Enerest Burkhart (DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Gladstone) and the immense wealth of one Native American nation.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jeff Bezos are joining forces for a good cause. The Hollywood star and the successful businessman are donating an impressive $200 million dollars to the Protect Our Planet Challenge, to protect the Amazon rainforest from deforestation.The actor’s non-profit organization Re:Wild conservation and Nature Solutions from the Bezos Earth Fund, are working together with Brazil’s Minister of the Environment to protect vulnerable areas and indigenous territories of the country, with the goal of achieving zero deforestation, including 145 million acres of the rainforest, helping Brazil to transition into a green economy and protect the rights of Indigenous people and their lands.

Variety has learned that the Warner Bros. Discovery CEO convened a call with the trio of top filmmakers on Wednesday for guidance following the departure of top TCM execs, including general manager Pola Changnon, who stepped down after more than 25 years with the network and Turner. Spielberg, Scorsese and Anderson are key parties of the Film Foundation, the nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of classic cinema. The Film Foundation was founded in 1990 by Scorsese, with Spielberg serving on its original board of directors and Anderson joining in 2006. In 2022, TCM expanded its partnership with the nonprofit, announcing a multi-year financial commitment to fund education and restoration of classic movies. The expansion was commemorated at this year’s TCM Classic Film Festival, where Spielberg made a special appearance to debut a 4K restoration of the Warner Bros.’ classic “Giant.” In April, Spielberg, Anderson and Zaslav also sat for a Q&A at the festival following a special screening of the 4K restoration of “Rio Bravo,” moderated by TCM host Ben Mankiewicz.
