A tornado is coming to 9-1-1: Lone Star, and the 126 is going to be left searching for signs of life in its aftermath. As last week's episode foreshadowed, one of nature's gravest disaster events is going to befall Austin, Texas on Monday night's new episode, titled "Act of God." In this exclusive new look at the episode ahead, we get to see a bit of what that will entail.

In this exclusive new clip from Monday night's new episode, which is titled "Texas Proud," some of the firefighters find themselves in over their heads — literally speaking — when a safety device fails during their attempt to rescue a man who's been sucked inside the metal storage unit.

I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but Fox's new franchise expansion of the impressively successful 911 —a Texas-set incarnation fittingly called 911: Lone Star— uses a backdrop of first-responder thrills as cover for an exploration of masculine fragility and definition-defying heroism.

Everything may be bigger in Texas, but 9-1-1: Lone Star isn't trying to outsize its parent show, 9-1-1. In fact, the spin-off, which introduces a new Austin-based team of first responders, is an intentionally tighter and tamer version of the disaster procedural.

“Anything for Selenas!” Fans are now going to have the unique opportunity to see the iconic and legendary Queen of Tejano, Selena Qunitanilla, like never before thanks to photographer John Dyer. Starting January 15 through Sunday, July 5, a special exhibit called Selena Forever/Siempre Selena will be on display at the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, Texas.
