Kenneth Branagh not worried by potential backlash over ‘bold’ Artemis Fowl film

It has been well documented that not even the actors involved with “Tenet” really know what to make of Christopher Nolan’s new film. Kenneth Branagh equated the film’s script to a crossword puzzle.

I’m sure there must be some appeal to the Artemis Fowl book series that serves as the basis for this film adaptation of the same name. However, whatever might be there is certainly not translated to the movie.

When a studio has a film that only cost approximately $55 million to produce and ends up earning $353 million worldwide, you better believe a sequel will be in the works quickly. It’s even more of a guarantee when you’re talking about “Murder on the Orient Express,” and the fact that Agatha Christie wrote multiple stories that feature Hercule Poirot, leading to the possibility of a new franchise.

Going into a Christopher Nolan film, especially ones like “Interstellar,” “Inception,” and the upcoming “Tenet,” audiences expect their perceptions of how things are to be altered. The laws of physics will be inverted or bent.
