Kelsey Parker announces tribute match to Tom as she says 'I want to carry on his legacy'

Kelsey Parker has announced a charity football match in tribute to her late husband, The Wanted star, Tom Parker, as she said she wants to "carry on his legacy".
Tom tragically passed away aged 33 in March 2022 from a brain tumour, leaving behind his wife, Kelsey, 33, and their two young children, Aurelia and Bohdi. Last year, Kelsey launched a charity football match in Tom's honour, which took place on Father's Day, and she was delighted to announce that a second one will be taking place on this year's Father's Day - June 16.
Sharing a smiling snap of herself with her late husband to Instagram, she wrote: "I’m so proud to announce the Tom Parker Charity Football Match will be back for a second year this Father’s Day. "On Sunday 16th June we will be returning to @bromleyfc with a star studded line up to play in Tom’s memory," as she went on to talk about the Foundation's aim "to raise as much money as possible into funding brain tumour research".
Speaking exclusively to OK! about the initiative, Kelsey said: "When Tom died I knew that I had to do something to carry on his legacy. When Tom was going through his own treatment, he was constantly messaging and helping others in the same boat as him.
He was never one to sit down and keep still at the best of times, and even after his diagnosis that didn’t change, he was itching to help others." Kelsey continued: "I have to carry that on. For Tom, for our children and for all the families going through the same thing.
