Katharine McPhee left her expensive jewelry at home while shopping in Beverly Hills today with husband David Foster and she’s explaining why.
The 38-year-old actress and singer was spotted leaving the Favorite Daughter store with David, 72, on Wednesday afternoon (August 3) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
For those who don’t know, Favorite Daughter is the fashion brand started by David‘s daughters Erin and Sara Foster.

Kat took to her Instagram Stories that day and reshared a post about an elderly man who was mugged and beaten up by three men who took his phone, money, and his watch.
“This is literally my worry and thought every time I go out now. We need Rick Caruso,” Kat wrote. “I blame every single woke voter. Seniors getting beat up in [Beverly Hills] while walking. Keep voting for this. What a sad state this city is in.”
Kat then shared a screenshot of her text messages with friend Sara Mann, who met up with her and David that afternoon. “Don’t wear your Rolex,” Sara texted her. Kat replied, “No rings no watches.”
“This is the real life text/convos you have with fam and friends about living in LA now. We need Rick Caruso,” she added.
Caruso‘s campaign has focused on cutting crime, ending street homelessness, and being a transparent mayor.
Kat and her step-daughters Erin and Sara have all been vocal about their support of Rick Caruso for LA mayor. He also has support from Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian, and Gwyneth Paltrow. Opponent Karen Bass counts Ariana Grande, Jennifer Garner, Steven Spielberg, and Shonda Rhimes among her supporters.
