Gary Goldsmith, the maternal uncle of the Princess of Wales, has weighed in on when he thinks his niece will be back to work.
The 58 year old is the younger brother of Kate's mum, Carole Middleton, and has recently made headlines following his stint on the 23rd series of Celebrity Big Brother. Since being the first housemate to be evicted, the multimillionaire businessman has given plenty of major interviews, with many mostly interested in the health of Kate, who underwent planned abdominal surgery in January.
While talking with Nigel Farage on Thursday 14 March's GB News, he backed up Kensington Palace's initial statement about when Kate would be returning to public duties - which has always been this Easter. "They [the Palace] have said we would see her at Easter and nothing has changed since that.
They have been very transparent," Gary explained, adding that his niece has been receiving world class care while in recovery.
"I think she has the best support on the planet, she has the best people looking after her," he said. Gary was inevitably questioned about the now infamous Mother's Day photo - something he publicly spoke about earlier week during the height of the scandal.
After conspiracy theories about Kate's whereabouts got out of hand, the Princess released the first photo of her since her procedure on Sunday 10 May.
The sweet image was taken by Prince William and showed Kate sitting on a garden chair surrounded by the couple's three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five. However, the photo was quickly removed from major picture agencies like Getty Images, Reuters, and Press Association, following concerns that the image had been manipulated.
