Kate Garraway was told to 'shut up' during an awkward exchange on Thursday's Good Morning Britain when the ITV show was hit with breaking news.
The GMB star turned to apologise to her co-host as she interrupted him on news regarding pop sensation Britney Spears. Things quickly took an awkward turn and she was left red-faced, as she and Richard Madeley read out the latest headlines.

The GMB entertainment editor turned to Kate and said: “I’m about to explain,” shutting her down. Red-faced, Kate said: “Ok I’ll shut up sorry,” as Richard replied: “Yes thank you Kate.”
