Kate Ferdinand posted a rare snap of her one year old son Cree on Thursday afternoon as he spent quality time with his big sister Tia during a fun day out. Kate shared a black-and-white photo of her stepdaughter Tia, 11, snuggling with her baby brother Cree as they sat on top of a horse in a cute moment together. “First time on a horse with big sis,” the proud mum captioned the picture she shared on Instagram stories.
Kate also uploaded a video of son Cree attempting to whistle hilariously as he went for a walk with mum and dad Rio Ferdinand in the woods. Failing to do so, Kate and Rio, 43, were heard laughing in the short clip as Cree lost interest in whistling and ran away. Kate and Rio welcomed their first child together, son Cree, in December 2020.
Kate is also stepmum to Rio’s three children Lorenz, 15, Tate, 13 and Tia, shared with his late ex wife Rebecca Ellison. Following Cree’s birth, Kate admitted on her podcast Blended recently that she felt like she “lost all sense of herself”. Speaking with guest entrepreneur Maryyn Harrison, she said: “I felt like I was so happy to be a parent, I was so happy to have biological child, but I just felt like I lost all sense of who I actually was.
"Rio was going to work every day, putting on his suit, looking fly, spraying his aftershave, skipping out the door and I'm sitting there in my pajamas with no sense of who I am.” Kate discussed how she desired to get back to work as soon as possible after being at home — not only for the good of her own wellbeing, but to set an example to her stepchildren. She continued: "For me it's really important for my children to see me going to work, especially our daughter Tia. "She needs to see me going to work so she knows it's important
